ParentsEvening: Record Parent Attendance

Scope

Steps to record the attendance of parents for an event.

Instructions

  1. Go to View Attendance.

  2. The View Attendance tab includes everyone who has booked a slot in your event. This will show:

    • Parent Name: The name of the parent attending.

    • Student Name: The name of the student related to the parent.

    • Form: The form that the student belongs to.

    • Year Group: The year group that the student belongs to.

  3. Use the filters under View Attendance to specify which parents should show:

    • Event: The event that the attendance is recorded for.

    • Student: The parents related to the selected student.

    • Parent: The parents and the students they are related to.

    • Year Group: Parents with students in the selected year group.

    • Form: Parents with students in the selected form.

    • Class: Parents with students in the selected class.

    • Booked Status: Parents who have Booked and/or Not Booked.

  4. To mark a parent’s successful attendance to the event, tick the checkbox and click Save.

  5. The Percent Attended tool will update to show the percentage for the number of parents who have been recorded in this section.

  6. You can Print the list or Export it to download an Excel spreadsheet. This can be given to the teachers to record the attendance during the event which is then used to update the View Attendance tab.
