This article describes an error with exporting student data from SIMS with the SIMS Link.
When the SIMS Link v44 is running, it opens a pop-up window with the following heading: SIMS .net Link Command Line Report Exporting Utilities.
This indicates that there is a problem with the third-party reports in SIMS – reports imported into SIMS rather than being there by default – which includes our A_T2P_StudentContacts_v44 report.
In SIMS, go to Reports > Design Report > Open an existing report.
Expand the Focus folder > Student > right click A_T2P_StudentContact_v44 > Delete.
Close all pages inside SIMS.
Run the SIMS Link v44.
It will automatically detect that the A_T2P_StudentContacts_v44 report is no longer in SIMS and import a new copy to complete the update.
If you encounter the same error message after completing the above steps, you need to contact Capita SIMS' support team and report the error to them as it indicates a general issue with SIMS itself.
