Teachers2Parents: Import Classes from SIMS

Scope

Steps to import class groups (such as English and Maths) into Teachers2Parents from SIMS.

Instructions

1. In Teachers2Parents, go to Admin > Setup Sims > Class Report.
2. This will either automatically be sent to your Downloads folder or you will have the option to save it.
   • Note: If you are saving the file and it has defaulted to a compressed zip file, change the file type to All Files and include .rptdef at the end of the filename before saving.
3. In SIMS, go to Reports > Import > Open.
4. Select T2PPupilClasses > Open. It will appear in the Import window with the status Pending.
5. Click Import and the status will change to Imported > Close.
6. Go to Reports > Run Report.
7. Expand the Focus folder > Class > Double-click t2ppupilclasses.
8. In the Export As window, click Browse.
9. Type in the filename t2pclasses.csv.
10. Choose a location on your computer > Save > OK > OK.
11. In Teachers2Parents, go to Admin > Import.
12. Change Type of import to Student class list.
13. Click Browse or Choose File > select t2pclasses.csv > Open > Import
14. You will see a window confirming that the import completed successfully. Click OK.
15. Refresh the page to return to Home and apply this change.
